About Aileen Baker

Aileen Baker is a 27 year old Scottish born mezzo-soprano. After having been awarded a First Class BMus Honours degree at the University of Chichester Conservatoire, she has recently graduated with a Master of Arts from the Royal Academy of Music.

Aileen began singing in Paderborn, Germany as a young girl and continued to train throughout her time in the schola cantorum at Ampleforth College and as a soloist in the NYCoS National Girls’ Choir of Scotland. She grew up in a military family and has performed arias, French mélodies, English song and German Lieder all over the world at venues in the UK, Kenya, Germany, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Mustique and the east coast of America.
